- 1 small bowl Seviyan / Vermicelli
- 4 - 5 cups Milk
- 8 teaspoon (as per your taste) Sugar
- 10 - 12 leaves Kesar / Saffron
- 2 Choti Elachi Dana
- 8 - 10 pcs Almonds / Badam (cut it into small pieces)
- 10 - 12 pcs Raisin / Kishmish (cut it into small pieces)
- 8 - 10 pcs Cashewnut / Kaju (cut it into small pieces)
- 1 tablespoon Desi Ghee
Recipe Type: Serve it as a sweet dish in lunch or dinner
INSTRUCTIONS
- Put a Kadai / Non stick on the flame and add desi ghee & seviyan
- Roast the Seviyan for 3-4 mins or till the time they are started getting brown, Stir continuously to roast all strands evenly
- Add Milk, Kesar/Saffron, Choti Elachi dana
- then add Badam/Almonds, Kishmish/Raisin & Kaju/Cashew nut (keep some for garnishing also)
- Add Sugar and mix it well (For Diabetics you can put Sugar free once the seviyans are cooked)
- Cook for 10-12 mins on low flame and Keep stirring continuously while cooking and make sure it is not overcooked
- Transfer seviyan to a serving bowl
- Garnish with Badam, Kishmish & Kaju and serve hot
- OR Let it cool at room temperature and put it into the fridge for 1 hour or in freezer for 15 mins and serve as sweet dish
