Ingredients

  • 1 small bowl Seviyan / Vermicelli
  • 4 - 5 cups Milk
  • 8 teaspoon (as per your taste) Sugar
  • 10 - 12 leaves Kesar / Saffron
  • 2 Choti Elachi Dana
  • 8 - 10 pcs Almonds / Badam (cut it into small pieces)
  • 10 - 12 pcs Raisin / Kishmish (cut it into small pieces)
  • 8 - 10 pcs Cashewnut / Kaju (cut it into small pieces)
  • 1 tablespoon Desi Ghee

Recipe Type: Serve it as a sweet dish in lunch or dinner

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Put a Kadai / Non stick on the flame and add desi ghee & seviyan
  2. Roast the Seviyan for 3-4 mins or till the time they are started getting brown, Stir continuously to roast all strands evenly
  3. Add Milk, Kesar/Saffron, Choti Elachi dana
  4. then add Badam/Almonds, Kishmish/Raisin & Kaju/Cashew nut (keep some for garnishing also)
  5. Add Sugar and mix it well (For Diabetics you can put Sugar free once the seviyans are cooked)
  6. Cook for 10-12 mins on low flame and Keep stirring continuously while cooking and make sure it is not overcooked
  7. Transfer seviyan to a serving bowl
  8. Garnish with Badam, Kishmish & Kaju and serve hot
  9. OR Let it cool at room temperature and put it into the fridge for 1 hour or in freezer for 15 mins and serve as sweet dish
